I am Mike Renoir Chéry, a photographer based in Montreal, guided by a simple idea: light reveals truth. My style could be described as Noir & Light, or Dramatic Portraiture. I am passionate about deep contrasts.

For me, photography is not just a profession—it’s a way of connecting with the world, with faces, emotions, fragile moments, and the stories hidden behind every gaze.

Whether I’m capturing a portrait, a fleeting moment in the street, the raw energy of an event, or the quiet poetry of a place, my intention remains the same: to create images that breathe, vibrate, and speak.

I work in both black and white and color, but my signature lies elsewhere: in the atmosphere, the contrast, and the authenticity. I love dramatic lighting, real emotions, and those suspended seconds that say more than words.

 

Every photo is, for me, a collaboration, a meeting, a visual dialogue. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing portraits, events, artistic projects, and products for individuals, brands, and creatives who trust me to bring their vision to life.

My approach is built on sensitivity, creativity, and a deep respect for the stories entrusted to me. Photography is painting with light… but it’s also listening. Listening to an emotion, a presence, a moment that deserves to be seen.
